Cloy Richards in Iraq
On December 9, 2006, United for Progress Radio interviewed Tina Richards, Events Coordinator for Military Families Speak Out - Missouri (www.mfsomissouri.org). Tina tells about her experiences with the heartache and misery of the Iraq War and the disturbing story of her son, Cloy Richards. Cloy is a U.S. Marine with the 111th Artillery Division who served two tours in the war. During those tours, he saw "shake-and-bake" missions in Nazaria and Fallujah that employed white phosphorous munitions against women and children, and he witnessed the death of a fellow Marine to a car bomb when he took Cloy's position on guard duty. Cloy is now an outspoken advocate for an end to the killing.
